3 Week Intensive Course: Management Consulting Bootcamp
Why Consulting?
If you are interested in a career in management consulting, this course is for you!

Consulting can be one of the most exciting and rewarding careers available. You will work with a variety of clients helping them solve the most complex challenges they face. Depending on your area of interest you may be involved in setting the strategy, improving the operations, or driving the implementation of the most visible and critical projects in a corporation. You will have “C-level” access and will be doing work that "matters."

A career in consulting means that you will continually have to “up-your-game” to provide value to clients. This means you will be on the cutting edge of evolving business models, structures, and/or technology.

Consultants live a fast-paced lifestyle. You will work very bright people, be challenged by clients, and only be limited by your ability to deliver. You will be compensated well. Typically you will travel - often a lot, but have all your expenses paid. Should you choose to enter or return to industry, you will be highly sought after because of the skills you have developed.

About the Course:
Our introduction to Management Consulting seminar is a three week course that introduces you the basic analytical and interpersonal skills required in consulting. The course is organized to help existing undergraduate and graduate students or those considering a career transition achieve the hands-on skills to successfully enter the consulting field.

The course is comprised of five 3-hour sessions that will provide you with a better understanding of the industry and hiring practices, while equipping you with the tools every consultant needs. We believe in a hands-on approach, meaning that while the course will include lectures to introduce material, there will be a strong focus on “doing.” This includes analyzing case studies, building and interpreting financial models, and structuring and presenting a compelling business case. While there is no homework or grades, we believe that students get out of the seminar what they put into it.

The seminar is primarily designed to improve your chances of entering and being successful in the consulting field. As with many competitive industries, consulting has a set of core skills recruiters look for. We familiarize and help you develop these skills. In addition, we walk-thru the recruiting cycle, provide tips for creating your resume, conduct a resume review, and discuss typical interview techniques used in consulting.

Every course you take and each project you complete will make you a better consultant. However, most courses tend to focus in on a single topic area and not on the cross-functional skills required to be a successful consultant. This course is taught by well-seasoned consultants with top MBAs and focuses on helping you leverage your existing skills by supplementing them with a consulting toolkit that will help you stand out among your peers and land the job you want.
